Minimalist Living

"Less is more"

The less staff is on you physically and on paper, the less stress you have.

The only things that are important are the things you can carry with you if you need to move quickly.
Invest in the things nobody can take from you, don't spend your time and money on things.

"Minimalism is a tool to rid yourself of life’s excess in favor of focusing on what’s important—so you can find happiness, fulfillment, and freedom"

Reclaim your TIME for important things!

Minimalism is a tool that can assist you in finding freedom. Freedom from fear. Freedom from worry. Freedom from overwhelm. Freedom from guilt. Freedom from depression. Freedom from the trappings of the consumer culture we’ve built our lives around. Real freedom.

Material things are burden.

“Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none” (Luke 3:11)

Basil the Great said it this way: “When someone strips a man of his clothes, we call him a thief. And one who might clothe the naked and does not – should he not be given the same name? The bread in your cupboard belongs to the hungry; the coat in your wardrobe belongs to the naked; the shoes you let rot belong to the barefoot; the money in your vaults belongs to the destitute.”

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal, but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven”  (Matthew 6:19).
“Look at the birds of the air. They do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them” (Matthew 6:26).

“This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God” (Luke 12:16-21).

“Find out how much God has given you and from it take what you need; the remainder is needed by others.” – Saint Augustine

There are two ways to meet God (if you don't have a Bible and you are living in Africa for instance ) :

1) Through another human being
2) Through Nature

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment

Renouncing all possession ancient spiritual practice in both east and west.
Renunciation of all possession will not automatically free you from EGO. It will attempt to ensure it survivor by finding something else to identify with. For example, a mental image of yourself as someone who has a transcendent interest in material possession and it is, therefore, superior to other people. Anticonsumerism, anti-private ownership, another form of thought, another mental possession that can replace identification with possession. Through it, you can make yourself right and others wrong, making yourself right and others wrong is one of the principles of the EGOic mind patterns one of the main forms of the unconscious. The content of the EGO may change but the mind structure that keeps it alive not.
One of the unconscious assumption by identification with an object through the fiction of ownership is the apparent salinity and primacy of that object will endeavor your self-sense with greater salinity and prominence.
